About

I stumbled across this glorious pub on Ladbroke Grove. The beer was spectacular, a great range — perfectly kept and fresh. The food was hearty yet delicious, something for all, the staff were just friendly and not over the top and I just felt welcome from the minute I arrived. It was a truly magical moment when we heard Hippo Inns announced as the winner. After such a challenging year, this award means the world to us!

So much more appealing than cooking, right? Read all 10 love letters here. When I first moved to Ladbroke Grove inI was surprised by how friendly the people were. You get to first-name terms with lo of people — from the local greengrocer to the dry cleaner! There are plenty of ways to get some green in, too.

I also love walking around the Trellick Tower. Because Ladbroke Grove is just so mixed, you can eat pretty much anything here. Obviously Grenfell has made a huge impact on the community.

You see it everywhere: green hearts and rainbows all down Ladbroke Grove. You can feel how much the community was hurting, and is still hurting. You can feel the anger about the lack of housing and how no one has been held able for so long now. Ladbroke Grove's residents are incredibly proud of their home, and protective of its identity.

There were objections when Pret announced it was coming to Ladbroke Grove, but the Pret is there now. You're in luck, pal: there are plenty of top-notch restaurants that you can order from through Uber Eats.
